Help

The instructions that come with your phone make it fairly clear how to put in tones manually (see below to text to phone) but here are some important points:

  • The letter is the note and on most phones is changed with the following keypad buttons:

1=C 2=D 3=E 4=F 5=G 6=A 7=B 0=R (a rest/pause)

  • The number after the letter is the duration of the note and is changed with the keys 1 to 6.

  • If the note has a - in it this means in the tone editor the note goes on the bottom line. If it is a + it goes on the top line and if there is nothing it goes in the middle. This is changed using the up and down arrows.

  • If there is a # on the note it means it is sharp, this is changed with the pitch key which is 9 on most phones and is shown as changed with an s in the lower left hand corner.

You need to get the Motorola Official Ring Tone Maker from here, copy the tone into it then use it to convert the tone ready to send it through an sms website.

It can be hard to get Motorola tones so wounldn't it be handy if you could convert Nokia tones to Motorola Tones? Well now you can just click here.
